Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ’s)
As you know, the Patient Protection and Affordable Care Act, commonly referred to as “the “Affordable Care Act,” is a federal statute signed into law by President Obama on March 23, 2010. The law is intended to help ensure individuals’ access to quality, affordable health care insurance and seeks to accomplish this in a variety of ways, including mandates, subsidies, and tax credits. Many provisions of the law will be phased in over time. The purpose of this FAQ document is to provide an update on how the law affects LORD based on what we know today.
